Billing Policy

Systems Capital

Effective Date: July 29, 2026

1. How Billing Works — Credits and Plans

Systems Capital measures usage in credits. One credit equals one data point retrieved from our database. A single row of stock price data contains two columns (date and close price), so one row costs 2 credits. Adding an optional metric column (e.g. Average Return) costs 1 additional credit per row in view.

Revisiting price data you have already loaded is always free. We track which calendar-month buckets you have previously been charged for, per symbol. If you view the same date range for the same stock again, we serve it from cache and charge nothing. Metric values are not cached this way and are charged fresh each time they are requested.

Every account is on one of four plans — Free, Starter, Pro, or Enterprise — each with its own monthly credit allowance, described in Section 2 below. Starter and Pro carry a flat monthly subscription fee.

Your plan's credit allowance is a hard cap, and there is no overage billing on any plan.If a request would take you past your monthly allowance, that request is declined and you are prompted to move to a larger plan. You are never charged more than your plan's flat monthly fee, and no usage-based charge is ever added to it.

2. Plans and Pricing

Free — no payment method required.

Starter — $8.00/month, includes 100,000 credits/month.
Pro — $29.00/month, includes 1,000,000 credits/month.
Enterprise — custom monthly commitment and credit allowance for high-volume use; contact us for a quote.

Overage:None. There is no per-credit charge on any plan. Once a plan's included allowance is used up for the period, further requests are declined until the allowance resets or you move to a larger plan.
Total charge: The Starter/Pro flat monthly fee is the only charge — it is both the minimum and the maximum you can be billed in a period. Enterprise allowances and fees are set out in your individual agreement.
Billing period: Monthly.
Currency: USD.

As a reference: loading a default 3-month stock price view consumes approximately 126 credits. Months where you only re-view already-cached price data cost nothing regardless of plan.

3. Free Allowances (Rolling 30-Day Window)

Free-tier credit allowances are tracked on a rolling 30-day basis:

Free allowances reset on a rolling 30-day basis from first use. Once your Free-tier allowance is used up for the period, you can subscribe to Starter or Pro (Section 4) to continue.

4. Subscribing to a Plan

To subscribe to Starter or Pro, add a valid payment method via our secure Stripe checkout. Your card is charged the plan's flat monthly fee immediately upon subscribing, and again on each monthly renewal. That fee is the entire charge — using your full credit allowance costs no more than using none of it.

By subscribing, you authorise Systems Capital to charge your card on file for the plan fee each billing period. Switching plans takes effect immediately; Stripe prorates the difference in flat fees for the remainder of the current billing period. If you reach your allowance mid-period, upgrading to a larger plan restores access straight away.

5. Payment Methods

We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) via Stripe. Your payment details are processed and stored securely by Stripe. Systems Capital does not store your card number or CVV on our servers.

6. Billing Cycle and Invoicing

Starter and Pro plans renew monthly from the date you first subscribed. The flat plan fee is charged at the start of each billing period, and no further charge is added during or at the end of it. Stripe issues an invoice for each charge, accessible at any time via the Manage Billing link in your account or on the pricing page.

7. How to Cancel

You may cancel at any time with no penalty. To cancel:

Cancellation takes effect immediately. You will not be billed again after cancellation. Any plan fee already charged for the current billing period is not refunded on a pro-rata basis; no new charges occur after that.

8. Failed Payments

If your payment method is declined, Stripe will automatically retry the charge. If the charge cannot be processed, your plan access will be paused until the balance is resolved. You may update your payment method at any time via the Billing Portal.

9. Refund Policy

Because the flat plan fee covers access for the billing period it was charged for, Systems Capital does not offer refunds for plan fees already charged. If you believe you have been charged in error (e.g. a duplicate charge or system error), contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of the charge. We will investigate and issue a credit or refund at our discretion.

Initiating a chargeback with your card issuer before contacting us may result in suspension of your account and potential recovery of disputed funds through Stripe's dispute process.

10. Price Changes

Systems Capital reserves the right to adjust plan fees or included credit allowances at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increase by email and/or by posting a notice on this page. Continued use of our services after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance.

11. Taxes

Applicable sales tax, VAT, or other taxes may be added to your invoice depending on your jurisdiction. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your use of our services.

12. Billing Disputes

Questions about a charge? Email [email protected] with your account email and a description of the issue. We respond to billing inquiries within 2 business days.

13. Developer API

A programmatic API with key-based authentication is in development. When available, the same plan and credit model described above will apply — API usage draws from the same monthly allotment as your account's plan, and is subject to the same cap, with no overage charge.
